Shifting Perspectives: Finding God in Unexpected Places

Shifting Perspectives: Finding God in Unexpected Places

We have been taught to seek God in the heavens above, to cast our eyes skyward and search for divine presence beyond our reach. We also have been thought to fear God, to see God as someone who is watching our every move, behaviors and waiting to punish us: on Earth or in the Heaven.

But what if we were to shift our perspective and to redirect our attention from the vastity above to the world that surrounds us to the tapestry of life, that unfolds in every moment?

In our relentless pursuit for happiness, joy, divine help, we forget to look around, to see the fingerprints of the divine in the very details of our existence. We overlook the sacredness of the present moment, the whispered secrets of the wind and the gentle dance of the sunlight through the leaves. God is not confined to distant realms; divinity is to be found into the very fabric of our reality.

To find God, we do not need to travel to distant lands or ascend to the highest peaks. Instead, we should simply venture inward, into the depths of our being, where the divine spark resides. It is within ourselves, that we can encounter the eternal, the infinite wellspring of wisdom and love. We are the vessels, through which the divine expresses itself, and by turning our attention inward, we open the doors to the sacred sanctuary from within.

This shift in our perspective is not an easy task. From an early age, we are conditioned to seek outside ourselves for answers and fulfillment. This unconscious belief has permeated our lives, leaving us disconnected from our true essence. It takes courage to unlearn what we have been taught, to challenge the patterns of seeking and surrender to the present moment.

As we embark on this inward journey, we discover, that God is not confined to temples, mosques, or churches. The divine presence is alive and pulsating within us, patiently awaiting our recognition. In stillness, we find the gentle whispers of the soul, guiding us toward a deeper understanding of our interconnectedness with all that is.

So let us cast aside the limitations of our conditioned minds and open ourselves to the divine symphony, that surrounds us. Let us immerse ourselves in the present moment, surrendering to its boundless beauty.

In in doing so, we unveil the truth, that God is not just up there, but also right here, all around us and within us, patiently waiting to be discovered, embraced and known.

Just close your eyes, even for a moment, and enter the sacred stillness within. Hold the intention to think of God, say a prayer, if you wish, immerse yourselves in the embrace of divine energy. Try to give more love in your daily lives, transforming hatred into compassion and radiating kindness to one another.

'I am Love through the one I see before me,

Love I am Love through this intention,

Love I am Love'
